While the last days, the riverboats could already be seen on the river Neris in Vilnius. Technical trials were done in mid-April to be ready for the comeback.
Within the next few days, the riverboats on the river Neris will come back for public transport. This year there are several changes ongoing. Additional stops and longer routes make this offer more attractive.
Four electric riverboats will serve their service. This means every 30 to 35 minutes people get the chance to go onboard. This year the total route length will reach a distance of 7,9 kilometers. Two new stops were added to this year’s route. Those stops are Silo Bridge and Zirmunai Beach.
A standard ticket for the riverboats costs 3 euros. If it is purchased onboard, the price is set to 4 euros. Students, schoolchildren and residents over 80 will get an 80% discount and pay 0,60 Euro.
